This is a sonic narrative inspired by a visual artwork created by an OCAD University student.
I imagine that bacteria might still recognize some sounds we hear. Yet perhaps they experience those sounds in an entirely different way. Maybe their world consists only of fragments of sound, as if everything has been cropped or filtered into sharp, high-frequency textures, or perhaps every sound they encounter is interpreted as language, music, or an urgent signal. Or perhaps the entire world is perceived as a constant, overwhelming threat.

This is a sound design piece created for a space battle scenario. Using Helm and Vital, I designed a collection of synthesized sci-fi sound effects, including weapon fire, shields, power-ups, damage impacts, and defensive abilities. The accompanying visuals were generated with AI, allowing the focus to remain on the sonic experience and the design of the interactive soundscape.

This piece is made in Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 internal to Pro Tools. As a surround sound piece, I gave this piece 4 elements and let them dance in the sonic field. The four test tones are: grey noise, sweep 20-20khz, basic sine wave, and a headphonesweep20Hz-10kHz.

A dream come true—I finally built a real-time waveform drawing system in Pure Data. Mix it with sine, triangle, and square waves to create additive synthesis. I believe this generative patch really has creative potential.
